“My path to founding Jikelele Adventures wasn’t traditional. Before I ever officially put on a guide badge, I spent time exploring 22 countries across the globe. Navigating completely different cultures and unpredictable environments taught me the foundational rules of travel: how to keep teams unified, adaptable, and inspired. That global groundwork led me straight to the wild, high-altitude terrain of Yunnan province, where my guiding career took root. I spent seven and a half years in China leading rugged wilderness expeditions through some of Asia’s most challenging landscapes. Managing complex logistics in deep wilderness became second nature. Eventually, my journey brought me back home to South Africa. Reconnecting with the incredible terrain of my home soil as a Cape Town adventure guide. After many years of freelancing, I knew it was time to change focus and build an enduring brand. That vision became Jikelele Adventures.”
